Meet Weller! His loving memory lives on in our calendar. I had the pleasure to photograph Weller in 2017 for his humans. He is truly a special boy.

Read all about him in his own words:
“I’m Weller. I took the journey over the Rainbow Bridge at 15.
I LOVE protecting my home and being on the lookout atop the couch or looking out the front door window.
I also love laying near my human’s desk and napping and also rolling in the grass or stretched out on all fours as far as I can stretch and dragging myself along the grass.
My favorite treat is Chicken!! My favorite fun thing to do….Getting my belly scratches or behind my ears. My favorite thing to do….If my human is at home – wherever he is – if he isn’t, then on top of the back of the couch. “When I’m sitting on top of the couch while my humans are out all I think about is When will they be back – when will they be back – when will they be back”
I love to play chase with my humans – and one of my toys running around in circles until they finally give out.. If I ever got in trouble it was for not being nice to my sister – Sniffles.
I’m not inclined to model and have photos made however, I was the perfect participant in my photo shoot – following all requests running through the plants, sitting on rocks, peeking out door, shaking hands – and frankly just being myself and creating good looking images for my humans to display and brag about me – I do love hearing others say how cute and sweet I am – they always go awe……but I know what they mean. 😊
Sometimes people ask me what it’s like over the rainbow bridge….
Well my sister Sniffles went first so she was waiting on me and unfortunately still runs faster than me, but I still chase her and yelp a little when she outruns me at corners. The other dogs welcomed me – and we enjoy running, having endless snacks, and grass to roll in that doesn’t make my skin itch later – I seem to have no allergies here that is a major plus! I do miss my humans – but I still keep watch over their property.”

Weller was very special to his humans and enjoyed a long life at their side with many fond memories.
“Weller was a rescue – a sought after pet that was selected from many available Cairns. From the first encounter he curled up and laid down in my lap. He had a buddy and a protector in his humans – roles he gave us. The lessons learned from him are numerous and are common in the pet world – those of unconditional love, fierce loyalty, and unbridled energy and happiness on our every return home. But, unique to him would be the depth of his eyes – he could cut them to the side and look at you with disapproval – like when his sister was irritating him or he would look down at the floor when he didn’t feel well, but if chose to look you straight in the eyes he connected with you – you wanted to know what he was thinking and you would find yourself asking him, “what is it” – thinking he might respond. In the end he never needed to, we knew because he told us with his eyes”
Thanks for reading all about Weller.
