Took our boys on a little mini vacation… who doesnt love a vacation?! We drove to Austin, TX this time, and you know I brought my gear and we had tons of plans to have a wonderful pet photography session for them…
Actually it wasnt totally a vacation, it was while my husband took the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu team (Revolution MMA Benton, AR ) to a tournament in Austin Texas. Was a lot of fun. We rented a nice house for all of us to stay… to keep the team together beforehand and make sure everyone made weight, etc.
Of course Bonsai and Enso had to come, and so did Max, their buddy. They had a great time playing with some new toys and meeting new friends (humans and canine). Enso got a new toy.
I was disappointed it was so hot….I wanted to take the pictures but all the flowers and grass was dead.
Then on the last day I thought about our room: the nice white sheets and warm tones… the lovely windows. I thought this would be a wonderful time to capture them playing and just “being dogs”. Enso loves to hop on the bed and roll around on and under the covers.
So I ended up concluding this trip with some fun and unique pictures after all : Not quite what I envisioned but it hardly ever is….. that’s what I like about photography… it’s real, not overly planned that it’s stuffy… and he ability to capure day to day events that matter is what I love most. I’ll love these photos forever. This is exactly “them” and “what they do” every day. I’d have never thought to photograph this if I wasnt placed in this situation to do some “creative thinking”. Im thankful for the dead grass.
So… what do you think? We know what Enso thinks….
