Here’s all about Mango in her own words:

“My name is Mango and I’m about a year and a half old.

My favorite past times include: Chewing, jumping on Zoe (our other dog), jumping on people, jumping on furniture (notice a pattern?), scouting the area for snacks. I’m not a picky eater; I’ll eat darn near anything.  Whatever you’ve got looks good to me.

I like chewing on things.  My favorite chew toys are my blue turtle and my red chameleon. Sometimes chewing gets me in trouble like when I chewed up the deck chairs, parts of the power washer and the lawnmower, and the hammock.  I like launching myself up to the top of our 6-foot fence so I can see what’s happening on our street, for a few seconds anyway.  And I like going where my people go. Mom says I’ve turned into a good little car rider.  I like to go anywhere my people go. at do you get in trouble for most. 

I dream about food, chewing on things, barking as much as I want without getting in trouble, and surfing the cat box for those little treats cats leave behind.

Do dog barks have accents, you ask? Oh, heck yeah, they do.  Owen (my human) says my voice is very special and different dogs have different accents.  

When I had my own photo shoot, We rode in the car for a while to a park I’d never been to.  There were other dogs there with their people.  These two nice people I didn’t know walked around the park with us and sometimes the lady would have me sit or lie down with Owen. I don’t know why but I didn’t care because everybody kept telling me I was a good girl and there were lots of interesting smells there.  

Mango just moved to Tennessee with her human Owen who is 11.  When asked what makes her special Owen said: “Mango is a hoot. Just looking at her with that slightly wonky left ear and her tongue hanging out makes you smile.  People ask what kind of dog she is and we say, “Um, yellow?” because we really have no idea.  We’ve had her for a year now.  We went to a veterinarian appointment with one dog and left with two.  A vet tech’s daughter had found her on the side of the road and brought her in for basic care and rehoming.  When we walked in and saw her perched on an office chair behind the desk, we knew we had to add her to the herd.  Mango recently went through training and though she certainly wasn’t the best behaved dog in class, her goofiness and friendly nature made her the class favorite.  She’s really brought a lot of laughter to our lives.”
